We are the resistance
Free Resistance is an unapologetically progressive home for the people and groups fighting to defend human freedom and human rights. We exist to stand against Trump, MAGA, and the billionaire class rigging the system against everyone else, and to give the movements doing that work a place to organize, be found, and grow together.
We are not one organization with one voice. We are many groups, one front: a single platform where independent activist groups, large and small, local and national, can build a real presence, share a common cause, and reach the people ready to join the fight.
What we stand for
We are a left-oriented platform, and we don’t hide it. We champion:
- Social justice. Dismantling the systems that keep people down and building ones that lift everyone up.
- Due process. The principle that no person, citizen or not, can be stripped of their rights without a fair hearing.
- Immigration rights. Dignity, safety, and a fair path for the people who make this country what it is.
- LGBTQ+ rights. The freedom to live, love, and exist openly, without apology and without fear.
- Reparations. Confronting historic injustice with real repair, not empty acknowledgment.
- Gun rights for all. The right to self-defense and security belongs to every community, not just the privileged few.
- Every fight for human freedom and human rights that shares these values.
These aren’t slogans to us. They’re the work.
What we resist
We came together because rights that took generations to win are under direct attack. We stand against three forces working hand in hand:
- Trump, and an agenda of authoritarianism, scapegoating, and the rollback of hard-won freedoms.
- MAGA, the movement that turns neighbor against neighbor and treats other people’s rights as bargaining chips.
- The billionaire class that buys influence, rigs the rules in its own favor, and profits while working people are left behind.
Where they tear down protections, we organize to defend them. Where they divide people against each other, we build solidarity. Where they hoard power, we give it back to the many. We believe freedom is for everyone, and we intend to keep it that way.
How it works
Groups apply to join through a short application. Once approved, each group gets its own login and a simple dashboard to publish its profile, post updates, and announce events. Editors only ever manage their own group’s content, never anyone else’s.
Everything submitted is reviewed before it goes live, so our directory stays trustworthy without any group losing control of its own message. Independence for each group; integrity for the whole.
Privacy and safety come first
Oppositional organizing carries real risk. We built this platform to protect the people using it, not to surveil them or sell them out.
- No third-party tracking logins. No “sign in with Google” or Facebook, and no handing your activity to ad networks.
- Pseudonyms are welcome. The name on an account is never forced into public view.
- Personal contact details stay private. The public sees a group’s chosen contact point, not an organizer’s personal email.
- No open comment sections to be flooded, scraped, or turned against you.
- Account and author information is kept out of public listings and data feeds by design.
We treat privacy as a baseline, not a premium.
